Theatre Veder - the team
The team of Theatre Veder consists of enthusiastic and involved people who can tell you all about the Veder Method.
Both the founder of Theatre Veder, Marieke Westra (artistic leader) and many other team members (office, actors and trainers) have double professional expertise. Most of them have a professional theatre education combined with training in health care and/or education. The trainers of Theatre Veder have years of experience with designing and giving trainings both in health care as well as other sectors. Importantly, they have extensive experience as training actor, in which role-playing and practicing with behavior is an important aspect.
Artistic leader Marieke Westra began as a nurse. After being employed in a variety of functions in health care for years, she completed the directors track at the Theatre school in Kampen. Since 1994 she and her artistic team (in varying combinations) established an outstanding track record in (music)theatre- and communication projects in health care settings.
Marjolein Bodegraven (business leader) experienced the production side of theatre when she was working as a psychology student at the Royal Theatre Carré. After her studies, she completed a theatre management training and worked at the Royal Theatre Carré for several years. Since then, she has been involved in projects that are at the intersection of culture, health care and welfare for vulnerable target groups. Among others, she worked on a project for chronically ill youngsters that won the National Care Reform Award.
